Search BLC WorldCat to locate books and other materials in other libraries when we either don't own them or our copy is checked out. Once you've found the book you want, request it via ILLiad. The book will be delivered to the Tisch Library circulation desk and you will be notified via email on its arrival. There is no charge for this service.

Search Tips

You can search for books about child development in JumboSearch in several ways:

1. Keyword Searching

Use words that describe your topic, for example:

  • Families and Children
  • Infants and Language

2. Subject searching

If you know the Library of Congress subject heading used to describe your area of research, you can search for a particular subject.  Some examples are:

  • Resilience (Personality Trait) In Children
  • Children - Religious life
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Child Development
  • Infants - Development
  • Children - Growth

3. Browsing

The range of topics covered by child development is broad, however most books can be found on Tisch Level 1 in the following call number ranges:
