RefWorks

Getting Started with RefWorks

New to RefWorks?

To create a RefWorks account:

  1. Go to: https://refworks.proquest.com/ and select "Create account."
  2. Enter your Tufts University email address and then create a password.

Your Tufts RefWorks account is available to you as long as you are affiliated with Tufts and as long as the Tufts Libraries offers RefWorks accounts.  The Libraries make no guarantee that access is perpetual. Accounts that have been inactive three or more years may be removed.

To learn more about usingthe features of RefWorks, please visit RefWorks' Welcome to the New RefWorks! guide:

Already have a RefWorks account?

RefWorks now has a newer version which is now available. If you currently have a RefWorks account and would like to use the latest version, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to: https://refworks.proquest.com/ and select "Create account."
  2. Enter your Tufts University email address and then create a password.
  3. When prompted to migrate your current RefWorks library into the new RefWorks, say yes.
  4. The new version of RefWorks also has a new version of the plug-in for Word which you will need to install. For this reason, it is recommended that you do NOT migrate to the new version of RefWorks if you are in the middle of any major projects for which you are currently using RefWorks.

If you want to continue to use the version of 'legacy' version of RefWorks, you can log into your account at: http://www.library.tufts.edu/ezproxy/ezproxy.asp?LOCATION=RefWorks .
