MOBILE APP ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

  • While on the Tufts network, create a MyAccess account in the upper right of AccessMedicine (desktop version).
  • Download and install the app via the App Store or Play Store.
  • Sign in using your MyAccess account credentials

MOBILE WEBSITE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

  • While on the Tufts network, create a MyAccess account in the upper right of AccessMedicine.
  • In your mobile browser, go to AccessMedicine & log in.  

ASCVD Risk Estimator

 

 
The American College of Cardiology's Risk Estimator, which is available from the App Store and Google Play Store, lets one calculate the 10-year and lifetime risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease based on gender, race, cholesterol, blood pressure, and other factors. 

BMJ Best Practice

MOBILE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

  • From a computer on the Tufts network access BMJ Best Practice and click Create Account.

  • Fill out and complete the personal account creation form.

  • The app is available for download in the App Store or Play Store.
  • Log in with the email and password you set up when registering for an account.

MOBILE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

Download it free for smartphones and tablet devices from the iTunes App Store or from Google Play. Its features include:

Provides childhood, adolescent, adult and catch-up vaccine schedules, and a table of contraindications and precautions table, with all footnotes that apply to schedules.   

  • Color coding coordinates with printed schedules.
  • Hyperlinked vaccine name opens as a pop-up with dose specifics.
  • Catch-up schedule for children shows minimum dosing intervals.
  • Related vaccine resources and websites are included.
  • Any changes in the schedules will be released through app updates.

EBMcalc

Formerly known as MedCalc 3000, this app is organized by specialty and alphabetically. This collection of over 400 medical algorithms, clinical criteria, decision trees, and converters is available via STAT!Ref's app.

MOBILE ACCESS INSTRUCTIONS

  • Access Tufts' STAT!Ref on campus.
  • Click My STAT!Ref link in upper right corner to set-up an account and login.
  • Click Temporary Login Account tab, then click the Activate/Renew icon.
  • Download app via the App Store or Play Store.
  • Login with your email and the password you selected for My STAT!Ref.
  • Activation lasts for one year, at which time you may login to MyStat!Ref and reactivate.
  • Browse or search for EBMcalc

These calculators appear with Stedman's Medical Dictionary et al. in the Tools & Features menu at the top of the navigation column on the web version of STAT!Ref.

  • No login required. Install it and begin using it. 

MOBILE APP CONTENT

The Prevention Task Force: USPSTF Recommendations (ePSS) app is designed and developed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Identifies the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for patients. The ePSS information is based on the current recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex, and selected behavioral risk factors.
