Master of Nutrition Science and Policy (MNSP) Toolkit

Document Delivery (Inter-library loan) Services

Students participating in the Master of Nutrition Science and Policy, Blended program are provided 20 free ILLiad, interlibrary loan, requests per month so that they can retrieve materials not available electronically from the Tufts Libraries collections.  Each request is for one item (e.g.  one article or one book).

When registering for an ILLiad account, students should select:

  • Status: Graduate
  • School: School of Nutrition
  • Department:  Friedman - MNSP

Requests for items that must be mailed to the student and returned to the library, e.g. whole books, theses, or media materials, will be filled on a case by case basis.  These requests may be mediated in order to determine if a chapter or section of the work can be scanned and sent electronically to the student instead.  If these circumstances arise, an interlibrary loan staff member will contact the student directly via email to discuss the matter.   If items are mailed to a student, the student is responsible for mailing the item back to the library and incurring the cost of shipping.
