Choosing a Recording Device
These lavalier microphones can be connected to a smartphone (iPhone) or the Zoom H5 audio recorder using the appropriate adapters included in this kit
.
- If Recording with the Zoom H5
- Switch the microphone button to "Camera"
- Utilize the 3.5mm to XLR adapter to plug the lav mic(s) into the Zoom H5.
- You must also check out the Audio Recording Kit to use the Zoom H5
- If Recording with the Rode Smartphone Adapter
- Switch the microphone button to "Off/Smartphone"
- Utilize the Rode adapter to plug the lav mic(s) into your smartphone.
- We recommend using the Rode Reporter app. Change the settings to standard quality (48kHz 24-bit WAVE) and configure the mic(s) as separate channels.
A spare battery is included in the kit. To replace, twist the center capsule and remove old battery. You may need to use tweezers to carefully pull the battery out.
