Locating Books

In JumboSearch, books are classified using the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). Typical subject headings in the Tufts Catalog include "Entrepreneurship," "Business Incubators," "New Business Enterprises," or "Venture Capital."  Relevant titles also can be located by searching on the names of companies, industries, target markets, individuals, and technologies.

In most Tufts libraries, print resources are shelved according to the alphanumeric Library of Congress Classification (LCC) System (the Hirsh Health Libraries uses the NLM Classification System). Relevant LCC Call Number ranges for business and management include:

  • HA Statistics
  • HB615-715 Entrepreneurship
  • HD Management
  • HF Commerce
  • HG Finance

If you are looking for a specific book in JumboSearch and don't find it, use the BLC WorldCat database to borrow the item from another library or recommend that the library purchase the item.
