A toolbar which allows you to search and find links to the library catalog from wherever you are on the web.

About Google Scholar

Google Scholar is a helpful resource in many contexts. Here are a few things to be aware of:

  • Google has a hazy idea of what we own--there are Find It @ Tufts links for many articles, but not all that we own
  • Google Scholar is more comprehensive in some disciplines (science and medicine) than others (literature and humanities)

Search for Articles in Google Scholar

You can use Google Scholar as a shortcut to many journal articles made available to you by the Tufts libraries!

Here are two ways...

1. The right-click method:

  • Select (highlight) any text on a web page -- for example, the article title.
  • Right-click.
  • From the drop-down menu that appears, choose Search Google Scholar.

2. The select-and-drag method:

  • Select (highlight) any text on a web page -- for example, the article title.
  • Drag the selected text onto the (Google) Scholar button in the LibX toolbar.

* if you are off-campus, you can set up Google Scholar to link to Tufts resources.
