Correlation and Regression
Khan Academy- Linear Regression and Correlation
Quick n' Dirty Regression Tutorial
Covers, briefly, how to do a simple regression using Excel.
Tutorial on linear correlation
Regression and Correlation
Good chapter on regression and correlation from UCLA's statistics e-book
Strat Trek- Linear Correlation
Stat Trek's chapter on applied statistics using correlation and regression.
David Lane's tutorial on regression. Has a small section covering multiple regressions.
Khan Academy - Descriptive Statistics
Plotting Data Frequency
Discusses different ways to describe frequency histograms. Requires Java.
Khan Academy- Variance
Khan Academy- Standard Deviation
Hypothesis Testing Tutorial
Contains applets (requires Java) that allows users to select different parameters such as n, mean, significance level, etc. and generate a simulation of a random sample from a specified distribution.
Khan Academy- Hypothesis Testing and P-Values
Khan Academy- T Statistics vs. Z Statistics Video Tutorial
Introduction to ANOVA tutorial
David Lane's tutorial on analysis of variance
Khan Academy- Calculating Sum of Squares/ Hypothesis Test with ANOVA
Khan Academy- Pearson's Chi Square Test
Hypothesis Testing and Statistical Power Testing (Indiana University)
In depth document explaining statistical power. Uses some SAS and STATA examples.
Random Variables and Point Estimation
Stat Trek - Random Variables
Point Estimation Tutorial
Has links to interactive applets (requires Java) that generates random samples of a population normal distribution.
Khan Academy - Confidence Intervals
Interactive Java applet that generates simulations of card samples, dice rolls and coin tosses.
Khan Academy- Probability
Central Limit Theorem Visualization
A resource visualizing the central limit theorem
Probability by Surprise
Java applets developed at Stanford to help students visualize probability and randomization.
Stat Trek- Probability
Coin Flipping Simulation
Simulation of coin flips (Bernoulli Trials) and some R snippets for the visualization.
A great blog about data and statistics visualizations. Many of the topics are on "big data" and contemporary uses of data.
Sometimes you need to see examples of poorly done visualizations to really appreciate the visualizations done appropriately.
