The Tisch Digital Design Studio features a recording room (by reservation) for both video and audio recording.  The space comes equipped with:

• Canon Vixia and tripod
• Preset studio lights
• Black backdrop/curtain and green screen wall for basic compositing work
• 2 - Rode NT1 Cardiod Condenser mic for recording voice recording

For students wanting to borrow camcorders, microphones, or tripods for field recording, the Tisch Circulation Desk has a limited equipment pool for short-term loan at no cost.  

DDS Staff are happy to help orient students to all equipment located in our space or at the Circulation desk. 

DDS supports 10 Mac workstations running a variety of media software including:

• Adobe Creative Cloud
• Audacity
• Final Cut Pro X and other Apple products such as GarageBand and iMovie

Learning to use new software takes time and practice.  DDS offers select open workshops for those looking to get hands on training.  We also highly recommend signing up for Lynda.com and following their training videos for the software you are working in.  These video tutorials are comprehensive and cover almost every tool you’ll need to start working in a new software.  For instructions on how to sign-up check out this guide provided by TTS.
