Diversifying Course Materials

Resources to support greater diversity in the classroom

Project Description

Have you been thinking about modifying course content to be more inclusive, to incorporate greater diversity, or to widen the breadth of perspectives on your syllabus?

The Ginn Library works with Fletcher faculty to support the syllabi/research component of this diversification work.  Our exploration of how to better support the inclusion of diverse perspectives and non-Western concepts and traditions has led us to focus on how course material and class discussion can counter implicit and inherent bias. This guide contains resources to help you get started in exploring how you can make your syllabus and classroom more inclusive.

In addition to the resources on this guide, Ginn Library staff are available to help you research, locate and procure more inclusive course materials. As trusted partners in the curation of a rich, balanced collection that reflects the universe of ideas, our staff is skilled in the scholarly work of discovering, acquiring, and providing access to class materials.
