InterLibrary Loan

If we don't seem to have access to a book or article you need, request we borrow a copy from another library using interlibrary loan.

Plan ahead: it can take time to mail books to Tisch.

If you cannot come to Tisch, there are options to mail the book directly to your house.

Picking up books from Tisch

Tisch now offers many ways to get books.

  1. You can retrieve them from the stacks yourself (help: reading call numbers) and check them out at the front desk or using our self-checkout app.
  2. You can request the books be put on hold for you at the front desk. 
  3. You can request we mail you the books if you can't come to campus. 
  4. If you only need 1-2 chapters of a book, use Document Delivery and we'll scan those chapters and email them to you.

For broad information about animation, the studios, or specific films try subject headings such as:

  • "Animated films -- Japan"
  • "Animated films -- United States -- History and criticism"
  • "Miyazki, Hayao, 1941- -- Themes, motives"
  • "Mononoke-hime (Motion picture)"
  • "Walt Disney Productions"

Or look for subject headings related to your theme:
