Recording

  1. Check your levels - Use the meter on the receiver (1) to check the volume (levels). When speaking the meter should be just hitting the yellow. If your audio meter is hitting red, turn down the volume of the microphone.
    • The volume control is found on the receiver (5). A single click of the “db” button will allow you to select between high (0dB), medium (-12dB), and low (-24dB) settings. The level icon in the middle of the screen indicates which gain setting is selected. *Note that the gain control only affects the 3.5mm output of the microphone, not the digital USB-C output. If you are using the microphones with a smartphone or computer and need to adjust your gain, do so in your recording software or app.

  2. Do a test recording. Playback to hear the quality of the audio you are recording.

  3. Check your settings - Make sure your microphones are set to “Split” mode . This will ensure each microphone is recorded onto a separate channel. To switch between 'Merged' and 'Split' mode, press and hold both buttons on the receiver for three seconds and keep an eye on the output level meter on the display (7).  You should have two different meters that read 1 & 2.
  4. Power off when not in use - Always turn off the microphone(s) using the power bottom on the bottom of each device (2). Coil cables neatly back into designated pouch when finished recording!

Troubelshooting

  • If a microphone loses connection with the receiver, the blue ‘∞‘ LED on the microphone will flash and the icons for that channel will go blank on the receiver, making it easy to identify which one you need to reconnect.
  • If you need to reconnect a microphone to the receiver, press and hold the pair button (‘∞‘, 6) on the receiver for three seconds to enable pairing mode, then single-click the power button on the microphone and wait a few seconds.
  • To disconnect a microphone, select it by single-clicking the pair button (6), then press and hold the pair button (6) for three seconds.
