- A. Search the Tufts Libraries Catalog
- by the playwright, e.g., "Christopher Durang"
- by the title of Play, e.g., Princess Pocahontas and the blue spots
- by the phrase "drama collections"
- B. Browse titles in the book stacks by call numbers, e.g.,
- PN2266 for BEST PLAYS (U.S.)
- e.g., The Best Plays (1899 – present). Stacks: PN2266.A2 B4
3. Index to Plays
- Use Play Index (a database) to search for plays of certain criteria, e.g., modern Comedy with female characters
Tip: identify a play in the Play Index; then search for the play in the library catalogs. You might need to request the play through interlibrary loan, if we don't have it.**Not every play is published or translated; try contact playwrights directly.
