SOC 0185/FMS 0161: Digital Dystopias: Hate and Extremism Online

This guide is designed to support students in Sociology 185/Film and Media Studies 161: Digital Dystopias: Hate and Extremism Online

Welcome!

Welcome to the research guide for SOC 185/FMS 161: Digital Dystopias: Hate and Extremism Online with Professor Sobieraj! Within the different tabs of this guide, you'll find resources to help you with your research and tips for improving your research skills.

If you have any questions about any part of the research process, you can always reach out to Cece and Chao, your subject librarians, via the boxes in the right column of this page.

What do you need to find?

For your final project, Professor Sobieraj has asked you find "quality sources" for your annotated bibliography and final project.

If you need help figuring out if a source is "quality" or not, check out the research guide below.

Need full text access?

Sometimes you may find an article in a library database or on Google Scholar that doesn't include full text access (or the full text might be behind paywall in the case of Google Scholar). Interlibrary loan is a program that allows Tisch Library to help you get the access you need with help from other academic and research libraries.
