Photography Kit

General Tips

  • Think through the various angles you will need prior to arriving to your location.
  • You can divide the frame into thirds to breakdown your basic composition.  Consider what elements are in the center versus on the left and right side of the frame.  What is in the foreground?  What is in the background?
  • Making pictures to include in a video?  Change the aspect ratio from 3:2 to 16:9.
  • Make sure to White Balance every time you enter a new environment.
  • Consider checking out a Lighting Kit and/or Reflector if you know you will be shooting in a low light environment.
  • Consider checking out a Tripod if interested in time lapse photography, or any situation in which you may need your camera to be stabilized
