Below is a selection of online resources that include a vast number of full-text articles (and citations for other materials) on topics in Chinese philosophy. The resources on this page include articles from both scholarly and popular sources, so be sure to evaluate your sources to make sure that they are appropriate for your project.
- Philosopher's IndexThis bibliographic database offers informative, author-written abstracts covering scholarly research in all areas of philosophy. The literature covered goes back to 1940 and includes journal articles, books, book chapters, and book reviews.
- ATLA Religion Database.Covers all religions and parts of the world.
- Bibliography of Asian StudiesBibliography of Asian Studies (BAS) is the most comprehensive Western-language database for research on East, Southeast and South Asia. It covers all subjects with special focus on the humanities and social sciences. All entries are searchable by author, title, year of publication, subject, country, keyword and ISSN.
- Project MUSEProvides electronic access to the full text of Johns Hopkins University Press' 40+ scholarly journals, including the Journal of the History of Philosophy, Journal of Chinese Religions, Philosophy East and West, and many more.
- JSTORPlease note and remember that the journals in philosophy accessible through JSTOR are not all of the journals that exist on this topic. The database includes many of the best titles, but not always the most recent. Please be sure to use the Advanced search and make sure your terms are in the title or abstract, not the full text, for the most relevant results.
- Historical abstractsScholarly literature in history from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada). This database provides indexing of more than 1,700 academic historical journals in over 40 languages back to 1955.
- MLA International BibliographyThis database is a classified listing and subject index of scholarly books and articles on modern languages, literatures, folklore and linguistics which has been compiled by the Modern Language Association of America since 1921. The electronic version includes the Bibliography's entire print run and currently contains more than 2 million records.
- Women's Studies InternationalCovers the core disciplines in Women's Studies to the latest scholarship in feminist research. Includes the areas of sociology, history, political science & economy, public policy, international relations, arts & humanities, business, and education. Over 2,000 periodical sources are represented.

- Arts and Humanities Citation Index. 1975- .Provides author, subject and citation access to journal articles and book reviews in history and many other journals in the humanities. Part of Web of Science.
- Social Sciences Citation Index. 1956- .The Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the social sciences. You can search both this index and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index together.
- International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS)The IBSS has more than two million references to articles and books going back to 1951 in the social sciences.
