Once you've determined the publication type and know what type of material you are looking for--whether a full-text journal article, book, anthologized essay, and other formats, the next step is to find out whether Tufts provides access to that material.
The boxes on this page explain how to find each type of material at Tisch Library. Scroll down the page a bit to see how to find books and other materials!
If you can't find what you need at Tisch Library, try searching WorldCat to locate it in other local libraries or in libraries around the world.
If Tufts doesn't have the material you need and it's not available in a convenient BLC library, you can always borrow it through Interlibrary Loan. This service allows Tisch library users to request library materials from libraries around the world.
To make an online request, just log into our Interlibrary Loan application, ILLiad, and fill out the appropriate request form. Submit your request and we'll take it from there!
Now that you know that you're looking for a book--either a monograph or an anthology of essays--you can find it at Tisch Library by searching for it in JumboSearch--either from the front page of the library's website or by using the search box below. If Tisch doesn't have the book, try searching BLC WorldCat to see if it's in another local library or request it through Interlibrary Loan.
Search by Keyword, Title, Subject, or Creator
Search for the book you want by typing the title into JumboSearch then clicking search. On the next page, you can limit your results to include only books by selecting Books under the heading marked Resource Type on the left side of the results page.
Once you have limited your search results to books, choose the title you want from the results list.
