The Prevention Task Force: USPSTF Recommendations (ePSS) app is designed and developed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Identifies the screening, counseling, and preventive medication services that are appropriate for patients. The ePSS information is based on the current recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) and can be searched by specific patient characteristics, such as age, sex, and selected behavioral risk factors.
This website was inspired by a publication in Academic Medicine titled Checklists to reduce diagnostic errors by Dr J. Ely, Dr. M. Graber and Dr. P. Croskerry. It includes updates by the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine.
The Differential Diagnoses can be sorted easily by: Frequency, Do Not Miss, and Commonly Missed diagnoses, allowing trainees to quickly spot "the most common diagnoses" along with the "red flags" to follow up for the pertinent positive and negative questions to ask as you learn more about the rare "Do Not Miss" and "Commonly Missed conditions."
UPDATE: You must follow these instructions every 3 months, in order to re-authenticate to use the app.
Created by physicians for use primarily at the 'point-of-care', the DynaMed App is updated daily and monitors the content of over 500 medical journals and systematic-review databases.
