EC 0114: Behavioral Economics

This research guide is designed to help students in Professor Gee's sections of EC 114 with their research project.

How to use this guide

Welcome to the research guide for Economics 114 with Professor Gee! Within the different tabs of this guide, you'll find resources to help you with your research and tips for improving your research skills. The "Guide to Reading a Scholarly Article" tab will open to a different Tisch research guide.

If you have any questions about any part of the research process, you can always reach out to Cece, your subject librarian, via the box in the right column of this page

What do I need to find?

Professor Gee has asked you to find scholarly articles that report economic experiments. You need to find three articles during the individual portion of the assignment, and then your group will choose one to replicate and create a video about.

What is a scholarly article?

A scholarly article is a paper published by scholars or experts on a topic for the consumption of other scholars and experts. In Economics, they are often found in published academic journals and are likely peer reviewed. Academic journals are most easily accessed through the library or Google Scholar with the Tufts library link enabled. Working papers are often considered part of this category in Economics research, but they are not recommended for this project.

How do I know if the article reports an original economic experiment?

See the Evaluating Information tab for tips.
