• * replaces zero or more characters within or at the end of a word. When doing an author search, use an * if you don't have the full name and two initials, e.g., dibiaggio j*
• ? replaces one character within or at the end of a word

SAME specifies that the terms must be in the same sentence or data field.

Varies depending on database. Generally language, document type, and date.

4. Save the changes.
