Tufts-Subscribed Video Resources

Tufts community members have access to various databases from institutions and publishers by way of license agreements made on their behalf. The following list is a compilation of links that may have video resources useful to the Dental and Medical faculty, staff, and student body, as well as other community members who may have use for such resources.

You can link licensed videos in your syllabi and presentations.  For more information on these resources, please see your liaison librarian.

Access Medicine Procedural Videos
Procedural videos from AccessMedicine may be used for educational purposes with proper attribution.

The multimedia library is “a unique collection of examination and procedural videos, patient safety modules, audio files, and animations that feature complicated concepts presented in terms students can understand are available, including videos illustrating fundamental medical concepts drawn from the world’s most trusted medical textbook, Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine.”

AccessMedicine is created by McGraw Hill Medical.
ClinicalKey Procedure Videos
Videos can be used from ClinicalKey for educational purposes through Tufts access, and must be properly attributed.

“Elsevier’s Procedures Consult provides a growing collection of records that describe diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, demonstrate how to properly perform them, and provide ICD codes, clinical pearls, and other information.  Its multimedia collection contains some additional videos.”

ClinicalKey Procedure videos are created in association with Elsevier.
JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments)
Educational use of JoVE’s content must be accompanied by proper attribution.

This journal provides video-based visualization of biological techniques, protocols, and procedures in lectures, which are treated as articles and indexed by Medline. Watch a streaming version, or download a PDF of the accompanying article.

New England Journal of Medicine Videos in Clinical Medicine
The videos found in NEJM’s multimedia library are copyrighted and available for non-commercial use with proper attribution. Any other usage must be approved through RightsLink.

The New England Journal of Medicine has a collection of clinical medicine videos on a variety of topics, found under the "Multimedia" section of their menu. Videos are captioned and can be downloaded for use.

The “Images in Clinical Medicine” is created by the NEJM in collaboration with the Massachusetts Medical Society.
SAGE Research Methods Video: Medicine & Health
These videos can be embedded into course materials for educational use with proper attribution.

“Master methods used in clinical medical and public health research through case studies and videos…SAGE Research Methods Video includes hours of tutorials, expert interviews, video case studies, and mini-documentaries covering the entire research process.”

The SAGE Research Methods Videos are created in collaboration with Sage Publishing.
Alexander Street's Case Consultation (Psychotherapy)
These videos can only be reused with permission from Alexander Street, and must be properly attributed.

The linked collection is focused on Psychotherapy and counseling. "Alexander Street is part of Clarivate, a leading global information services provider. Alexander Street's products are curated, discipline-focused, primary-source collections, websites, and streaming media for learning and research."
