Resources through Tufts

Tufts community members have access to various databases from institutions and publishers by way of license agreements made on their behalf. The following list is a compilation of links that may have image resources useful to the Dental and Medical faculty, staff, and student body, as well as other community members who may have use for such resources.

Institutional Access Through Tufts

AccessMedicine Multimedia Library
Keyword search for your relevant topic, then filter for images. Multimedia is pulled from licensed McGraw Hill Medical textbooks.
Britannica ImageQuest
Keyword search the general image resource, which includes medical images.
ClinicalKey
Images can be used from ClinicalKey for educational purposes, but MUST be exported using the ClinicalKey Presentation Maker, which requires sign in to a (free) Elsevier account. The downloaded slides include the proper rights and citation information along with each image, and can be exported to PowerPoint and saved as JPGs.
Journals @Ovid Multimedia Library
Ovid’s Multimedia Library pulls videos and images from their affiliated journal articles. The database can be searched and filtered by keywords, media types, and year published.
New England Journal of Medicine
The New England Journal of Medicine publishes short clinical summaries of particular incidents accompanied by photos with each issue of the journal. These are collected under the "Multimedia" tab of their menu and have attribution and contact information from the contributor. The collection of over two thousand entries can be searched and filtered.
